Our Statement of Faith

We all live by a set of rules and beliefs. We can choose to follow our own rules and beliefs or we can choose to follow the rules and guidelines that God set up for us. The problem of following our own set of rules is while it might seem to work for a short period of time, eventually we realize we’re not as good at steering the ship of life as we first thought. In fact in the bible it tells us “Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD, and turn away from evil.” (Proverbs 3:7) Fact is, we can live for ourselves and reject God’s love, He’s never going to force us, but doing so always leads to a life void of meaning that only God can fill.

So how does filling that void happen? Well, it starts with being honest with God and yourself. We’re all born with a sin nature that naturally wants to keep control of ourselves regardless of the outcome – which is never good. To get to the point of not only realizing keeping control isn’t working, but also giving control over to God, is going to be resisted by our nature. It’s only through Jesus where we can overcome that resistance and live a life of true freedom we never knew existed.

God as our Creator designed us to have a personal relationship with Him but sin has broken off that relationship. It was through God sending His Son, Jesus Christ to earth in the form of a man and dying on the cross that paid the penalty of that sin. God loves us that much. We then have the ability to reestablish that originally intended relationship. And this is a free gift He offers to us. It starts with being open and honest with God and yourself.

The following will help you start to see the core beliefs God has given to us through the bible.

Our Statement of Faith

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.

We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.

We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful people, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential. We believe that all men everywhere are lost and face the judgment of God, that Jesus Christ is the only way of salvation, and that for the salvation of lost and sinful man, repentance of sin and faith in Jesus Christ results in regeneration by the Holy Spirit. Furthermore, we believe that God will reward the righteous with eternal life in heaven, and that He will banish the unrighteous to everlasting punishment in hell.

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.

We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
